OK, y'all know I'm a big fan of Al Franken. So, I love it that the email request I got from him today is about his DOMA repeal petition (yes, he's also working on the debt ceiling crap, of course). Meanwhile:

The debt ceiling crap makes me feel like mommy and daddy are fighting and each one is saying to the other "If you don't do what I say I'll beat up the kids."

Wasn't the point of electing these folk supposed to be so that they run the government?!! OK, some idiots elected the "drown it in a bathtub" faction, and they're way too damned close to getting their wish. Aieeeeeee!

I'm also a most unhappy citizen. Our "government" is (mostly) a pathetic embarrassment. :C
