Okay I'm in a very strangely happy mood right now so I thought I should write about the last three days.
Let's start then:
Thursday:
Had a total of 90 min of school. My schedule at school is so ridiculously light that it's like being on a permanent vacation. We do have to make written reports about certain lectures but I doubt it if that will take too much of my time. Although I absolutely HATE lectures.
After school I finished up a project from my last course that I still had to give in. Took me longer then I thought it would but I managed to round it up quick quickly. So I stopped off at my next place.. a dreadful place where I did yet another project. But I still had a card from that school and I desired to give it back so I can get my deposit back. After half a hour of wandering around being sent from one place to another I finally go to where I first went and she told me "Sorry you'll have to come back when my colleague finishes her lunch". Now normal people tend to make a whole fuss of wasting half a hour of there time but I'm a rational person. I see that she's having so much trouble standing AND breathing at the same time that she couldn't possibly find a €10 euro note if it wasn't stuck in her g-string. I decide to go on to the next task of the day... giving in my project!
Of course I just miss my subway and the next one coming doesn't go straight to where I want to go. I'm a bit impatient so I decide to take the train which will bring me a few stops closer. Finally getting there I notice that the next subway is 9 whole min away. I'm feeling whimsical so I decide to walk the rest of the way. Haven't done it before but what the hey.. I like finding out new directions to places. I'm easily amused sometimes.
Took me 10 min more then it would have taken by subway but I'm there and had a nice walk. Now here's a funny part.... I don't have my school card with me. And my (now ex) school is a real hard ass when it comes to security. Teachers have had to miss their lessons because they forgot their card (yes, teachers need one too).
I think about my options:
1) Look at them with my puppy eyes and ask to get in anyway. Possible but undignified.
2) Ask one of the guards to accompany me inside. Unlikely.. even I'm not that good
So there was only one thing left to do. I quickly slipped past the first obstacle (a door that only opens when you have a card) and I get to the second. The security guard on duty. I take out my wallet and I keep eye contact hoping to hypnotize him while flashing a card from another college at him. And he says "ok" of course (the secret is to make him think you want him to see the card). I laugh inwardly as I go to find my teacher since:
1) I've done this at least half a dozen times before, most of the time with a plain piece of white cardboard.
2) Before you think that security is lax none of my friends is able to copy my tricks.
Anyhow I gave my paper in and had a nice chat with my former teachers about how I dodged security yet again. One of the teachers said that even if he would have noticed that the card wasn't the right one he would have let me pass anyway because my picture makes me look like I belong in the Top 10 most wanted. I'm flattered.
The only other thing that actually happened that day was that I got my diposite back and that I had to buy 10 kilo's worth of chicken for my mother and carry it around town for a hour before I got on the bus home. Once my arms stopped trembling I started chatting and that was the end of thursday.
I think I'll do friday and saturday tomorrow.
This was enough for one entry
