Uh, I have to ask. You don't get party control until late in the game after the game is done introducing specific roles for each character and setting the ground work for you to be able to execute the tactical battles nessecary to avoid getting your face absolutely wrecked in the second half of the game ( ... )

I'm going to go ahead and assume you didn't like any of the Tactics entries into the game then, be it the original on the PS1 or the GBA titles or the "enhanced" Tactics for the PSP.

They did say they wanted to take FF in a new direction starting with this set of games ( VS is going to be more hack and slash, ala Kingdom Hearts I hear ) and they accomplished that handily. I don't think you're ever going to see another game like "the originals" from any developer, but you never know. Madden keeps releasing the same game every year and somehow, people still buy it. And nice try trying ton intimate that I don't know what a FF game is when I owe my music career to the various entries ;)

*draws off some of your lion juice the best way he knows how and slams a bigger hoof down in front of ya* NEIGH NEIGH NEIGH! I'd be happy to discuss this further with you on messengers, if you still use them. ;) FlareStarfire on all of em.

Actually.. yes, I AM going to wholeheartedly agree with you here Ramsis Shisho.

The plot is linear to the point where you stop playing an RPG and are just playing a visual novel (Sure, they're enjoyable to me, but if I wanted a visual novel, I'd have went and you know.. BOUGHT ONE? ) And the level caps? I mean.. seriously. It's an RPG. The fun IS the grinding! (After all, whats' the good in fighting a boss under leveled in a turn based fighting system?)

And the point where you can't control the other characters?

........Yeah. Needless to say, that didn't sit well with me. I don't see how people justify it with "It gets better x Amount of hours in."

I want a Final Fantasy game with FUN in it. The bells, whistles and pretty lights don't make the game as Squaresoft hasn't caught on to.

Couldn't have said it better myself LL :)

ROAR ROAR ROAR! I am so much happier with this game not in my life and Ill leave it at that. To each their own but I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about the game.
