Poems

Because I haven't posted any poems for awhile, studying too much to post a real entry and because I'm moving and already packed the next installment of Tobias and Damien (by the way if someone actually wants to name the story by all means I'm open for suggestions)

Soul-“mate”

I’m not saying this to be cruel
I’m not saying this to be kind
I can’t pretend
I don’t mean to make you cry
I’m just me
And I’m not what you want me to be

Long years ago I rhymed my soul away
So much I lost all words
On the papered world
I made something beautiful
And kept it for myself

All I knew was darkness
In it I became
Not less
Not more
But bad

I hurt that something beautiful
And gave it away to be fixed
The beautiful became bad
And heaven picked up
Broken pieces

In my transformation
I lost my savior role
It took my wings
Granted me white light
Colour

What I was
was Wrong
What I am
needs Work

However
The pain has dimmed
I squint less at daylight
And I’m going to hurt
That something Beautiful
One more time

I’m not your keeper
Savior lover Shoulder
Anymore
I will be Friend
Handholder
Cry for you
But no more than that

I hate what you’re doing
And who you’re with isn’t much better
I don’t need to feel your pain
Anxiety loneliness

I have much more than you to figure out
So your on your own
Beautiful one Sad one
Begin your own transformation

I still be there
And I’ll wait on the other side
To bring you home
But the Journey
Is yours to make

No one else to follow
Lead or say yes or no
You chose
End Beginning
I’ll see you soon

In the place where dreams fall
the Singer goes on
In his cracked voice
Sore from cold and use

the Dreamer seeks a home
Away from the madness
Where her wings could grow
She listens for that song

the Singer holds baby feathers
To chase away the sorrows
Of so many snow angels
And the song goes on

the Chaser falters in her steps
Path forging seems so much harder
After the childish skin falls away
Still she sees the hope
In the Dreamer’s starry eyes

the Broken Angel lost his way
Now there’s no Dreamer to tell him
How the song goes
He hates listening for the Singer anyways
That voice took away his last chance of sanity

Melancholy melody
Rhyming in the mind
Hurts Sooths Breaks
Goes on

For the Dreamer must meet the Singer
the Chaser must make a new world
the Broken Angel must learn
And the Dreamer will keep Dreaming
For all children
In the night sky
