About time

Sep 09, 2007 01:53

So it's been something like 11 weeks since I posted anything so I'm going to make to up to my non-existent audience by posting a song and a poem. Detailed life post to come.

Untitled song (I'm not sure if this is good or not but it's been so long since I've written lyrics....)
Blue eyes glaze over, looking to the sky
Two small pain filled words echo from pale lips
"I hurt"
I can't reach down
To smooth the wrinkles of confusion away
Yet she still looks toward the sky

[Chorus:
What does she see there?
That takes away the pain How does she know someone's
Watching
No one to answer even her last plea
She goes on believing]

Her hair has mixed with the soil all around her
Quiet has blocked out all sound
There's no peace here
I don't know if this time she'll get out
The soil leeches away her blood
It tastes bitter

[Chorus:
Why does she stay here?
Can it take away the pain?
How does she know someone's
Watching
No one to answer even her last plea
She goes on Believing]

Brave eyes watching the skies
Does she expect to see wings?
A smile comes as she turns her head
And gives in
With one whisper
She's gone

[Chorus:
What does she see here?
That takes away the pain
How does she know someone's
Watching
No one to answer even her last plea
She goes on Believing}

Harp Poem: (this actually goes with a greater story still forming in my head but if I told you what it was I'd have to kill you)
The harp sings
tales
of bygone wizards
There deeds stored
within its strings
Written in blood
and bone
Singer listens
in enchantment
Fingers playing
on air
Seat from his
brow
Drops to the stone
floor
Seedless pearls
shattered on
granite
Harp plays gently
coaxingly
seducing the Singer
the Player
those who stand
near
weaving them into
timelessness
Where they stand frozen
Waiting
for the Harper
to undo the
Spell
