Whatever happened to make you hate Christians and Christianity, I'm sorry for it. We are flawed people like everyone else who serve a perfect God and are trying to do so despite our constant flaws. The hateful comments you left on my journal entry inspire me to pray for you and the hate you carry in your heart. My hope is that one day you'll find peace.

I don't hate Christians and I honestly didn't agree with a lot of what the replies that were posted to your journal. In fact I though some of them were down right rude.

However I don't believe in the way you do things through Christianity, I have been hurt by such methods in the past and while I do follow the Christian concept of God; what you have said in your template hurts me because it disregards a number of problems and cultural perspective. I love Japan and it has been my life long dream to go there. I'm lucky enough that God has allowed me to realize that dream.

I am sorry if I hurt you personally and I will keep you in my prayers.

People must find God themselves, in whatever form that may be and I believe that like all people, all cultures and religions should be seen as equal.

I admit that many methods people used to get me "into" Christianity were just hurtful, but what we're doing in Japan is that we're giving street English lessons and making friends, offering small tracts, and if they want to believe, great, and if not, that's really kool with us, too, but we want to try, you know? Many ppl have big misconceptions, and they're all founded to a degree, but we know the Japanese may be scared of it, or even hateful, but some haven't heard or read for themselves with someone there with kindness, not pointing a finger. I realized that not all Christians are mean, hateful, awful creatures. Hey, some are, but some have a warm spirit, a loving heart, and just wanna love on people. So your comment wasn't at all as hurtful as others ( ... )

I agree with you on most points and I am glad that my misconceptions have been cleared up.

I do think a lot of cultural insight is needed for such projects and anyone involved, I also see the native or indentured religions already existing in Japan are wonderful and have many element similar to Christian beliefs, and I hope that no one demises them.

By all means show kindness and love to those who need it, that"s kind of what I'm all about!
