Thanksgiving Abroad

This marks the fourth Thanksgiving I have spent abroad, one in Kuwait, one in Uzbekistan, one in Afghanistan, and now in Iraq, out of twelve years of service in the Army. Our Thanksgivings are about togetherness even when you are across the miles. Turkey is nice, but our's have often involved duck and other non-traditional sides. Our Thanksgivings are the way they are because it is about being together, and in our day to day lives we are always in the kitchen together, experimenting with new foods and just enjoying each other- your creativity and my desire for everything to come out the same way every time. :) Thanksgiving is about love and enjoying each other ( ... )
