I had forgotten how much I despise cooking for only one. There is something so very lonely about cooking for oneself, and it is difficult for me to design interesting meals when no one is around to enjoy them. The days of temporary work are over; I start SCCC next week. I actually enjoyed working with LTC Hanley, but I am looking forward to starting the course.

I am considering purchasing a Kindle sometime in the near future. Over the past two weeks, I have run into four people I have known during my time in the Army. The first was a fellow Arabic linguist with whom I went to language school. Just a note: The Army can ruin anything. I am trying to complete the required Captain's Career Common Core Course, an on-line training regimen required prior to completion of the Signal Captain's Career Course. However, the inordinately clumsy and slow system used for this training is incensing me. Argh!

What I failed to mention in my previous post is that my branch manager is sending me to Signal Captain's Career Course directly from Methodist. That means I am packing and moving to Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA next week. I will be living in a studio in Augusta for about six months, after which I should be returning to Fayetteville. So, I am now officially educated. petite_chaton hooded me in at my graduation ceremony today, and I am now the proud possessor of a baccalaureate degree in Organizational Communication & Leadership with a minor in Leadership Studies. Huzzah!

Yea! The coolest toy ever arrived on my doorstep today. Now to buy lots of games and waste all my free time. (Already have Wii Play and Link's Crossbow Training) petite_chaton wants a dance pad and Dancing with the Stars. I want Metroid Prime 3 and Rock Band when it comes out. :)  (happy dance)
