Aww, I love Sonoko's view of Ai and Conan. I actually feel bad for her, not being able to go anywhere with just Ran. The friendship between Ai and Conan here is wonderful. The only jarring thing is the reference to 50 Shades of Grey. I don't know if Sonoko would know about that book.

On another note, I've been thinking about posting an elemental challenge for manycases1truth, but I'm not sure if I should do 1 challenge for "Elements" or 4 challenges for "Fire", "Water", "Air" and "Earth". A challenge for "Elements" can be about the scientific elements, classical elements, Chinese elements, etc. On the other hand, separating out the elements seems to be the usual way for challenges and results in more challenges. Any suggestions?

Thanks and more thanks! It's been half a year since I last wrote fic, and I'm quite nervous. Glad to hear the friendship's spot-on, since its the heart of the fic series. I think Sonoko gets to hang with Ran solo outside what we see, but she still finds Conan's presence annoying. The book reference was a stretch, but since it's wildly popular here, I figured it wasn't impossible for her to know about it and went for the lulz. My biggest worry was writing Conan and Ai speaking normally without eavesdropping!Sonoko getting too suspicious. Then again, Sonoko's a teenage girl version of Kogorou sometimes.

Challenge #72 is Fire, so maybe Elements would work better. A link to each type of element (scientific, classical, Chinese, etc.) would be gravy, in my humble opinion. :)
