So, around 2AM this morning, Linda (my wonderifical new partner who deserves a flurry of posts dedicated to her, but I've been much too busy spending time with she and the rest of my nearly Brady Bunch family to write about it) wakes me up and says

Had I known how that was going to go, I just might have.

Of course, dinner would have been the better option, and the damn thing would probably have leaped out of the pot, after having been skinned and gutted, wearing spices as a mask, and attacked me like some B-rate movie!

i'm glad to see you giving the critter its due. obviously it's completely unphased by the likes of you. wolves at your heels and all. although i have to admit the boxers, sandals, and umbrella combo is so cute, if i were that 'coon, i might've stuck around as long as possible just to laugh look at you too!

perhaps you should have taken him more seriously to begin with. sometimes animals DO come bearing gifts or messages, you know.

and speaking of gift-animals, i'd like my spider sometime maybe please?
