ranting: why do people suck so bad?

Seriously, it must be me! I dont' understand why I think I have the greatest friends for one moment, and then the next they basically are the biggest hypocrits or backstabbers in the world. And why does everything have to be a competition!? I need new friends. I need good friends, quality friends. I need people in my life who are uplifting
