Tomorrow I see the orthopedic hand specialist about my broken finger.  I'm hoping it'll be a matter of "Yeah, it's healing fine and you should be able to take the splint off in a week".  I'm dreading "What kind of an idiot doesn't notice she has a broken bone for *five weeks*?!?!" ++  It'll probably be somewhere in the middle.  This is nearly 7

I don't think it's all that weird. People break toes without knowing it. And of course you would expect a broken finger to seem worse.
