seems to be something that i am lacking in cases such as these

Keep in mind that I'm in no way excusing what he did, or the culture that says such things are any sort of acceptable response to being wronged. However, there is still room for human compassion for someone who's done horrible things. Nothing brings back the dead, but compassion can have a great effect on the living.

i am under the impression that he really doesn't care about the actions he's done, and all he cares about is that he is finally out of prison and enjoys being treated like a hero
