Rejected again....

I used to post poems here, but then I found out that if I publish poems online, I can't submit them to publications that want first publication rights. So I cheated and made the posts invisible and then submitted the poems anyway. I guess I could get in trouble doing that on down the line if it's discovered.

The wackiness of the internet.

You should submit to Kudzu.

And feel good. I've never written anything that I submitted to a decent enough publication that I get rejected. I've had things published in the campus book, which publishes anything grammatically correct enough to be legible, and that's it.

Well, I encourage you to submit things.

I highly recommend buying Poets Market 2006 or Writers Market 2006. Excellent books, with lots of good advice.

But that would require me to write. Something I haven't done in about a year.

I've only been able to get one poem published... kinkyjedi August 17 2005, 02:49:22 UTC
I was only able to get a poem published once in a national anthology collection of poetry. It is hard to get published so I was so excited. Publishers are soooooo selective of what they put in print. Good luck and keep trying.

Kudzu scares me. But your poem? I bet it is delightful. :)

Kudzu scares me too, which is why my poem isn't exactly what you would call delightful:

But I hope you enjoy it anyway. :-)

Ah, ha! It *is* a delightful poem (I may have a very odd sense of what constitutes delightful, but that is neither here nor there). You have captured the very thing about kudzu which is so inherently disturbing. :)

Thank you for sharing it. I quite enjoyed reading it.
