What I find interesting is that the feud between Israel and Palastine dates all the way back to Jacob and Esau, according to biblical history. That part of our world is cursed... doomed to fight until the end of time as we know it. It's been speculated that one of the signs of the coming of the end of the world - peace among the nations - refers to the middle east.

So asuming 1) the Bible and God exist as written, and 2) these lands are truly cursed I sometimes wonder if this is an exercise in futility. An attempt to change something that can not be altered before its time. Of course, then we'd have to get into a discussion about how destiny is determined and who controls it. Chicken/Egg/Spagetti Monster... the debate could last an eternity.
