Hmm. My uncle has given me money over the summer when I've needed it, and when I offered to pay him back, he got all growly and told me to stop ( ... )

Well, it is good to have people to depend on when you are in need. You either repaid or tried to repay all the people who helped you. That is way different than someone just using and abusing. Sometimes under certain circumstances you just have to watch out for yourself.

I don't think you're judging her too harshly. I think you're just being cautious. I've leant money to people who have promised to pay me back but then came up with 'reasons' why they couldn't.

I decided not to give her the money, and I also blocked her from messenger and email.

So, yeah, she is a bad influence. I'm trying to fill my life with positive people, so this is a good first start.
