In the teaching of character in stories, I introduced the lesson serenading my class with a cowboy hat on to see if they could deduce from the (rather substantial) clues what my character was. (You know, I don't think I've ever heard you sing. Except occasionally singing along with music through a closed door, which makes judging vocal quality kind of difficult.)

I sang Home on the Range and wore a cowboy hat. Going for cowboy (got cowgirl), so it worked.

The slightly embarrassing thing was that I was being observed by one of my advisors while I did it. :)
