Oooh, used books... great idea! :)

I grew up with the Broncos because my mom and dad are huge fans, so that's how it happened with me too. But I actually started liking them on my own during high school. One big advantage to moving to Arizona is that their team sucks so much that they have a very weak fan following...which is great for me because I have no problems staying 100% loyal to my Broncos. :)

*grin* This sounds a bit like when my dad discovered eBay. Which, considering that he's often the definition of penny-wise and pound-foolish, was amusing. "No, let's not go out to eat, that's expensive -- ooh, look, an antique whirligig with Santa on it, for only $300! What do you think, honey?" Luckily, Mom has a bit more sense. (And Dad does do the books, which is a reality check.)

I second Carrie's suggestion of used books, though. You can get them very cheaply sometimes -- with www.abebooks.com and so forth.
