Ouch

I really didn't think I'd be having that conversation so soon. In a way, it would be easier on me emotionally if he hadn't figured out his mistake so soon after sealing it in stone. Six months really isn't very long. Six months since he took everything he had worked ten years to build up, and threw it away. Threw it away for someone who just ( Read more... )

Okay so I am going to be me and say a couple of things for the sake of pondering. You have a wonderful connection to the divine. I take that as a given. You know that the divine is big on the forgiveness thing. So my query is why is this in stone? I am not advocating stupidity here, but I am asking why not. It is in stone because he made a decision to set it that way. I forgave him two years ago. But forgiveness does not remove the consequences of his choices. And one of those consequences is that he finalized a divorce and destroyed all his assets, as well as the foundation of trust that the relationship was built upon. And sadly it's too late to take that part of it back.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through all of this. I know it's part of life's process but it still sucks.

It does. But I signed up for it. I just have to keep reminding myself of that sometimes. And the good news is that he's making changes that he really needed to make in himself. It's just too late for me to get any benefit from that.

While I have no idea what the situation is, I hope it can be resolved in some way that gives peace...

In many ways it already has been. But walking through the pain is part of honoring it.
