Started with an invite to a contractors meeting that the State called because they are auditing the County. Some of the attendees started pitching for more money instead of talking about quality review. Stupid. Said so. Looks of dismay. Me overwhelmed by not caring ( Read more... )

I think that level of crisis would make my head explode. I'm duly impressed that you not only deal with it on a daily basis but that you can stay "reasonably" sane in the process...

I enjoy the deep end of the pool. I'm never going to be a therapist who can work with little old ladies with depressed poodles. Even if they pay well.

As for staying "sane," I find my work to be royally amusing despite the crises. My staff and I often look at each other and say, "Really? Did that just happen? Awesome!"
