I'm not sure about this bubblegum and champagne town either (although it seems corroded and dirt-dusted these days), and I have a lot of questions to ask and time to tear up, but I find myself squandering it away in hiding. Sometimes I stop and realize that I'm not sure what the last thing I wanted was. I thought it was here, but I question that now. I'm missing the wanting. I need to wake up.
Although, that being said, I'd much like to see you again. Maybe you can show me something here that sets you on fire. Fire is contageous, I hear.
I wanted to live in my treehouse, which did not really have a house. It was just the only tree I could clime, a big pine with low branches on top of a hill in my back yard. I wanted my friends to be lions. I wanted to roar like them. I wanted my hair long and tangled with theirs.

#1 thing.
People asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
I answered "A mermaid."
