Things I learned while writing this story: Truth or Consequences, NM, is famous for it's hot springs. It also changed it's name to Truth or Consequences (or T or C, as the locals call it) after a radio host promised to host a show in the the first town to take his show's name. And it's 30 miles away from a real, honest to goodness spaceport. And

I was so totally a-flail about the video of them singing together, I just got stars in my eyes, and thought want, and the next thing I knew, I had a story developing. It's probably going to need a plot at some point, but for now I'm just having fun researching little towns with funny names and imagining Patrick trying to really do the blues, and Brendon showing off as he busks, and the looks on everyone else's faces when they get the inevitable pictures or random souveniers.

So. We'll see, I guess!

Then Jon says, "So. Road trip?" His voice is casual in that way that Patrick totally knows is not actually casual, and that as soon as they hang up, Jon's going to be on the phone with Ryan and Spencer and Shane, and possibly Pete and William and Gabe, and then the whole DecayDance label is going to, like, conference call, and Patrick will be forced to turn his phone off and not turn it back on until they get back to LA. Whenever that may be.
