Warrior (a.k.a. just give Nick Nolte a Best Supporting Actor nomination already)
Thank you, azewewish for raving about Warrior and commandeing her Friends list to see the movie. It took a week for me, but man, it was great! Just got back from the theater and I'm already thinking I may want to see it again!!!
Random thoughts:
1) Last time I called an acting nomination, it not only happened, but he won (Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight). So I'll try it again: Nick Nolte, Best Supporting Nomination. Best work I've seen from him in YEARS, reminds me of James Coburn's work in Affliction, which rightly won him an Oscar.
2) Joel Edgerton is a revelation. Animal Kingdom and Kinky Boots are now in the Netflix queue. He better get some top billing work after this.
3) Could Tom Hardy's traps be any bigger? I would not want to meet that man in a dark alley (or even a brightly lighted one).
