i got a netbook! it's an acer aspire and so far i love it. i bought it because my laptop has lost some of its portability, due to a broken hinge on the screen, and it's been killing me that I have to be tied to someplace with a computer. so, i bit the bullet and bought myself the netbook (from newegg which included free shipping and a travel kit ( Read more... )

:-) Glad you're enjoying the netbook! Sounds like a good, affordable alternative to buying a new computer. So far, it sounds like it has the same capabilities as a laptop, though - unless you are a gamer. Is there anything you miss compared to your full laptop?

No, right now there isn't anything I miss compared to my full laptop. Sometimes I do wish the screen was a bit bigger but that's minimal. One thing the netbook doesn't have is an optical drive (ie cd/dvd reader). It has tons of USB ports though which is great and an external drive could be plugged in that way. It really depends on what you're planning on using it for.
