He was fucking Andy Wyatt. She came to pick up the last of her things, let herself in, and there they were, all tangled limbs and sheets and moans. She stood there, unable to tear her eyes away from Andy's hair, vibrant red against the cool white of the pillow. Her pillow.
Months later, she still doesn't have her green blouse or turquoise earrings back, and she swears she saw Andy wearing a ruby necklace that was hers. When she tries to pinpoint the moment it fell apart, memories of yelling, tears, and violent make-up sex are somehow tinted crimson.
