I tend to fall on the smaller end of the retail spectrum; so clothes in my size are non existent. So I have picked up the habit of sewing to make up for any short falls I have in my wardrobe. Though, I do get lucky from time to time and get some wonderful finds off of ebay

The construction took a bit longer than anticipated; I made my bow tie in 2.5ish hours as opposed to the suggested 1 hour. It took me three tries to turn my bow tie from right side in to inside out. One of the seams on the neck band was just a tad too small to pull the rest of the bow tie through.

But I learned from my mistakes and am going to make it a point to find more ties to cannibalize in to bow ties when I thrift. I feel enthusiastic about adding more bow ties to my wardrobe!
