She likes to jog.
Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to run, so she drives her car to a promising spot, and jogs around the area.
Jogging is the only activity she does which is active, which is a routine. She couldn’t call it healthy--- like all the things she does there is always some negative, compulsive habit attached to it.
She runs because she likes it. Because she can. And sometimes because it is another way to procrastinate. Deep down she knows why she jogs. It’s not because of procrastination, it is not because it’s a healthy activity or another compulsively bad habit, she is running to escape her problems.
She runs and runs, until she feels she has out run the personal demons assaulting her inner thoughts. It exhausts her, almost wrecks her, but when she’s done jogging it quietens the ever loud noise of thoughts in her mind. For a while she almost feels good in her own skin, there’s a small time frame after where her thoughts do not dominate, and she can for once, hear herself breathing.
And all seems right with her world.
