Oh wow! Tear my heart out, why don't you?

I knew it was going to be bad when you described Noah. Some intense scenes there.

You've got Reid and his reaction spot on here, I think.

What a chapter!

Can't wait for more!

Thank you Anne - getting Reid right is important to me. Luke and Noah can suck it. ;)

Yep, I was right. Brutal. I was thinking maybe coma or amnesia at best, but you went all the way. I'm glad you ripped the bandage off right away and didn't try to give us any false hope.

I particularly appreciated the insightful moment of Reid discovering what it was like to be on the other side of a doctor's conveying of good or bad news.

This is tough to read, so I'll assume it was tough to write. Great job.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, I didn't want the story to be "soapy" in the sense everyone keeps a vigil, and there are signs of hope for recovery only to end in Luke's ultimate demise. Nothing wrong with that, but my idea is more how people deal in the aftermath of a death that's sudden and out of nowhere; how Reid and Noah deal in particular.

Oh no... Not Luke!! He's a pain in the Neid backside but I loves the guy!
Gosh but each of your reactions is so in character! I can't wait to see where you take this! Amazing so far!

Thank you Gillian. I didn't off our dear Luke to get him out of the way (though yeah, it accomplished that LOL.) I was just interested in exploring the fallout for Noah and Reid, because usually when something tragic would happen, it was mostly shown through Luke's perspective. Absent that, we have to focus on the other guys.

Glad you think it's in character so far. I'll keep trying!
