Okay so uh backstory for you if you haven't read it lately: KT must have gone through a really bad breakup or something because all the women in the manga (except maybe Soi Fon, who got the standard KT treatment of having an arm cut off) have been reduced to jobbers! And by jobbers I mean they've been getting stuffed into refrigerators.

First Rangiku like... gets a chunk ripped out of her torso, then the only female Espada is shanked by Aizen before she gets to do anything or get any backstory for no apparent reason, then Hiyori (who looks pretty much like a little girl) tries to shank Aizen and gets cut in half by Gin
