America (part 1)

Ok, as promised in my last post, I am going to try and write a bit more than usual to get back up to speed for college, and this seems as good a place as any to do it. oooh Sophie's World was such a craaaazzzy book! Its brilliant but then you try and remember facts about any of the individual philosophers discussed and you realise that you didn't take anything even vaguely factual in. At least thats what happened to me. I wouldn't mind studying philosophy myself in uni. The only problem is, I don't believe they have many well-paid jobs for qualified philosophers these days, unless you can write books as crazy as Sophies World. I've read other "philosophical" books and not enjoyed them though, like Paulo Coelho. Some can seem very arrogant or something. But Sophies World was great so enjoy I guess!

Yeah, I really enjoyed Sophie's world. I can remember some of the people alright, but not all of them! As for Paulo Coelhio, which book did you read? I really liked 'The Alchemist'. Though I'd put him more down as Metaphysical than Philosophical myself.
