Hirohito's reign had some flaws, but his son has held onto the Japanese throne quite well. I like him.SAIPAN (Reuters) - Japanese Emperor Akihito, on a pilgrimage to the U.S. territory of Saipan where a decisive World War II battle was fought, abruptly changed his official schedule on Tuesday to visit a memorial to Koreans who died in the war.

I have a JET-related question. Does the oreintation in Tokyo take place in the same hotel every year and if so, which hotel is it?

I think it's usually/always held in the Shinjuku Keio Plaza Hotel. But my actual room when I attended was across the street in the Shinjuku Hyatt. Keio is 10, Hyatt is 15 minutes from Shinjuku's West exit.
