it took me about ten minutes to figure out that status update post!!! (must remember to look on here and not fanfic.net) I am very impressed at the extent of planning out and mapping (looks at her own half scrawled midnight notes and wonders what the chicken scratchings actually mean) i guess its a lot easier to dual write if you both keep to separate characters and chapters most of the time...
XD! There's a lot of stuff on it right now that isn't always there. XD And yeah, there are several other posts that are set to private that include outlining posts, information posts, and other miscellaneous stuff we use to keep track of our wack storylines. XD
Hopefully the next chapter will be up soon - it's nearly finished. :D

Actually, Arc 2 will be the only Arc (there's a total of four) that has such a clear distinction between characters and chapters, and that's because there's so many stories (and we both had our favorite characters and universes, so this is kind of our chance to freewheel). But yeah, it does make life easier. Arc 1 was more tightly outlined so that we could coordinate and it kind of killed my own interest in writing for a while because I felt like a robot filling in the blanks.
I get updates through fanfiction.net, but check lj every so often And I think they should be separate chapters - as characters, they should have the privilege and right!!

I apologise, I worded my answer very badly too! I meant, Yes, I think they should be posted as a separate set of chapters - even if they aren't considered to be "obscure", If people are following this, they can identify enough with the characters for them to be posted separately - i mean, they are somewhen / somewhere completely different!
And the lack of updates can be completely forgiven. I have about 5ish weeks until my version of finals, so its hectic. I've only been updating my fics when I've been too stressed to work so i write instead!
Looking forward to the possible rush of creativity!

Somehow I surfed here from some LJ crossover group (looked it up crossoverfic). I have not read your story yet. However, I will shortly as I spent considerable time and effort saving it to my computer so when my internet inevitably goes out I will have something entertaining to do and I can pretend to be surfing the internet reading quality fan fiction as I am sure your work will prove to be. ...I don't even think that was a run-on! Go me! Anyway, if you are truly needful of feedback I will attempt to provide it upon reading. Consider this proto-feedback. Thank you for sharing your hard work with me (and the internet at large).

Hey, thanks for letting us know! It's always great to get new readers. And please, the more comments the better. I realize some people feel silly commenting on every chapter instead of the last one posted, but it's always fun to hear people's thoughts. As for continuing the fic, we have every intention of finishing it even if it takes 5 years or more (which it... might, because arc 1 took over a year to finish and it's the shortest of the 4 planned arcs). However, because we're both college students, we tend to have long hiatuses between chapters when school's in session.
Oh God, this reminds me of when I was involved in a huge sprawling AU that went on for years and years and spawned an archive and a support group for art and late night IM plotting sessions...
You have my sympathies...okay, and a snicker or two...
So tell me, do these things ever end well? :) Link, please! If there's anything more amusing that writing a huge sprawling AU, it's reading them. Good ones are so hard to find (probably because most people know better than to try).

LOL - no, that's the main Brian Justin archive for the US QAF fandom that's in process of being moved, along with the archives for justintheartist and brianakinney.
Those went on for about four years, I think it was. One afternoon, back when LJ was all shiny and new, I said to a friend, what about we set up to journals and just riff off each other with unplotted paragraphs back and forth.
Several thousand pages, a few hundred icons and plots that made spiderwebs look like the shortest lines between two points, we took a break and promptly completely lost track of the thing, lol.
