I can relate, but imagine the scenario of LSU: everyone comes from Louisiana and EVERYONE knows each other. Friends follow friends, people don't feel like branching out, and old cliques stay the same. My first semester was AWFUL, but you've got to give it a chance. I came very close to doing something along the lines of transferring, but stuck it out, and now it's not all-bad. First semester IS tough (anywhere), so just give it some time and good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement :) It does actually help to know that it's normal to have a hard time at first... so I'm trying -.-
