The little green mechling giggled and flailed against the arms that wrapped around his neck and held him back, his bright optics focused on where Windstripe and Starforge were wrestling by Ironhide's chair.

"We're nuts." Rodimus watched from where he stood behind Panacea with his arms around her. "Oriana 2's barely taller than him."

"So?" His spark-mate snorted and leaned back against him comfortably, aware of Nova standing beside them and scowling as she made sure everyone was alright. "They'll grow up together. You're the one that decided we couldn't leave him behind after he'd attached himself to us."

"I didn't see you offering to pry Annie off him." Rodimus chuckled as the newspark- Chase- he said his name was, squealed and giggled some more, his flailing growing more pronounced.

"Oriana, let him go," said Panacea, her optics creasing with her smile.

"Okay." The buffy coloured sparklet grinned and did so carefully so that her new baby brother didn't do a flying faceplant, then giggled herself as he turned around and wrapped his arms around her. "Awwww. I love you too, buddy."

"I'm Chase," he reminded her, raising those bright optics to her face. Then his grin faltered as he let go of her to rub at them.

"Awww. Are you tired?" Her hands went to his shoulders as she'd seen her father do to people he was encouraging. "We can have a nap. And some energon!"

"Yeah," he said a little glumly, but then perked and looked around. "Nurse?"

"Nooooo." Oriana 2 gave him a little shake. "Not 'nurse', remember?"

Chase blinked, but then his grin lit up his little face. "Right! Mom? Dad?"

"Ooomph! Ahhhh, no, not my belly!" Starforge whooped and flailed as Windstripe transformed to beast mode and gave him a slurp across the sensitive plating. Nova quickly stepped in to gently but firmly break the boys up, her actions showing that inexplicable maturity that so often made itself known in the little golden femme.

"Easy, Nova," said Rodimus, letting go his mate to step forward and go to one knee next to Oriana 2 and Chase.

"Yes, sir." She plunked down on the floor between her brother and their friend, her optics thoughtful as she watched her honorary uncle talk to his children and gently offer them drinks from the cube he'd pulled out of subspace.

Then she looked up at the chair.

"Shhh." Ironhide chuckled softly as he hove into sight. "You hungry too, sweetheart?"

"Not bad. C'n we go fer a walk?" Beside her Starforge and Windstripe perked and sat up, eager to hear the verdict.

"Ah don' see why not." Ironhide got to his feet and stooped to help the little ones to theirs. "Who wants ta pickaback?"

"Let Starforge ride," said Windstripe. "I wanna play."

"Alright." The old ghost got the little ones all arranged and then slipped out of the room, using a hand-held comm unit to let Airazor know where they were going to be so that she could come get her sparklet after she was done her errands.

"You sure you don't want to go with the guys?" Rodimus asked Oriana 2 as she leaned against him contentedly and watched Chase drink.

"No. I have to take care of my brother." She grinned. "And he's too little to go yet. We can go tomorrow. Or the next one. We have lots of tomorrows."

Rodimus looked quickly to Panacea, his processor going to Spike and the tomorrows they'd never had, but his mate was only smiling at the little ones as she watched them from her perch on the arm of one of the couches.

"Right," he said softly, turning his attention back to the sparklets in his arms as he gently shifted his grip and lifted them up. "So... snuggle pile?"

"On Dad!" Oriana 2 laughed and hugged him around the neck, then accepted the cube from Chase and drank deeply.

Rodimus felt his optics switching off momentarily as he grinned widely enough to crack his faceplate. "Sure, why not? Dad's pretty comfortable. You coming, Pansy?"

"Just wondering what was taking you so long." She quirked a brow plate at him.

Rodimus just switched his optics back on to grin at her, then led the way to the sparklets' room.
