I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Alright, so I was wandering around my beloved system of tubes known as the internets today when I came across something. . . unusual is not the word, nor is interesting. Gross seems like it should fit, but somehow it doesn't. Really, I can only think of one way to describe it ( Read more... )

XD.

XD.

....XD!

-wipes tears away-

.......XDDDD.

Anyways. They look really useful and fun to make/wear, but they look like they'd be rather bulgy if you tried to wear them with shorts/pants.

I think the secret to reducing bulgy-ness is to use thin, yet absorbant, cloth.

As the maker of that page I know I should be insulted, but I'm not. Sooner or later I knew someone, most likely on LJ, would make a post to their journal just like this. Good or bad, thank you for the free advertising.

And honestly, on top of the good reasons you listed, there is a precentage of the population who are allergic to all the chemicals they dump into disposable pads. I'm lucky not to be allergic. I was just trying to save some money and got hooked after I realized how unbelievably comfortable they are. I've used them for a year and a half, and I'd never make the switch back.

There is a long list I can rattle off about how great cloth pads are, but I'll stop preaching at you. If anyone reading this is curious, there are a ton of pages out there which can say it better than I can.

Well, I'd be lying if I said your reply was unexpected, I didn't think anyone besides my friends read my journal ^^;;

I'll admit, my first reaction to your site was 'WTF', but really, now that I've thought about it more, they do make a surprising amount of sense. Actually, if I had any skill with sewing whatsoever, I'd probably try 'em out.

I wrote about your page because, well, you must admit, it's unusual, and I like to post about unusual things. I also like to try to be somewhat amusing in my entries and I realize that in my attempt to be funny, I was rather disrespectful. I wholly apologize for any offense I have caused.

Well, I'd be lying if I said your reply was unexpected, I didn't think anyone besides my friends read my journal ^^;;lol. It was my stat counter that gave you away. I keep an eye on new pages that link to my page. I honestly wasn't going to reply, but I re read your post and thought it looked opened minded enough to give it a shot. There was no offense on my part, so don't worry about it. I must have my wires crossed, as I was light hearted amused after reading your original post ( ... )
