Hm. *Every* blue-eyed person? How did this original person get blue eyes in the first place?

Apparently, blue eyes was a super-ultra rare mutation that happened to be dominant. So, when this guy came along, nearly every single kid he had had blue eyes or they carried the blue eyes gene in their DNA, making blue eyes more likely for their kids.

Also, he apparently lived at the Asia-Europe border, putting him in the perfect place to affect nearly every population, which is why it is possible, though rare, for blue eyes to show up in any ethnicity.

I suppose blue eyes were just more popular in Europe or something, which is why there's so many of us there~

Eh. Okay. Well, that's thoroughly strange. Do you know anyone with blue eyes?

Lookit, I found the article explaining it! http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2008-02-05-blue-eyes_N.htm

I know many people with blue eyes and so do you! Laura, Sara Jennings, Emma (and all her sisters), and a bunch of other people who I can't think of right now. We're all related, though rather distantly :D
