*snuggles* Tis okay. I just get frustrated with political posturing. It's like clockwork. Or, perhaps, like the Tell-Tale Heart, the constant predictable pulse reminding us of the murder of our ability to think rationally and behave like decent human beings.
I do, but... what exactly do you mean here? "Goddamned political grievances?" Does that mean people cannot say, "Wow, this whole thing was a debacle on all levels of government, from local to federal?" Or can't they say, "The federal goverment's response to all of this SUCKED?" Or, "George Bush is either incredibly stupid or an incredible liar, based on what I've seen

Heh. I pretty much intended it exactly the way it's worded. Those people using (which was, with "promote", the key word)the whole affair as a vehicle to promote grievances that are motivated by politics rather than the immediate tragedy itself can stay away from me. The unspoken, of course, is "...with that stuff." I have detected many cases (in the real world as much as the internet) where the primary thrust of the complaints appears to me to come from pre-existing political grievances, where people appear to be engaged in opportunism...which saddens and frustrates me. I could be wrong in every case, but I doubt it. Past that, I meant nothing I didn't say, and certainly not that people shouldn't air their opinions (not something I'm likely to say, after all, as most people know) or look for accountability. I've not now, nor am likely to, publicize to anyone who reads my LJ what I think about the latter issue. I thought my wording was fairly precise, wording I attempted to clarify with Snacky. Interpretation past that is out of my control and, I think, manifestly unfair to me.
