Recently a some friends suffered a fire in their apartment. Although they got out without injury, they did lose all their belongings. Included in that was this shawl I made for the wife about a year ago.

Well, technically, the shawl WAS beautiful; it was lost in the fire. Thus, the "memorial" page.

The heart (and surrounding drop) was actually a last minute idea that I came up with when looking at the shape the pattern was forming. As soon as I figured out how it would be created, I stopped and bought the red yarn at at mall up in Vancouver. YES, a real INTERNATIONAL shawl.
