Seriously. She probably knows, if she's helping you in, that you don't have much real world experience, but you've been through school, and you're motivated. Bring in your designs, be honest that you're starting out, but you're motivated, a quick starter, and easy to get along with. You have some amazing strengths -- let them shine through, and make them know that their investment in you will pay off!
I've never known you to be this highly optimistic. Maybe it's this great love in your life... ;) But I do thank you for your words as they WILL help me today to find my confidence.

That might make her look bad on the magazine, and then that could create ugliness in the family. Be funny and charming (you know how girl, trust me!) let her know that you're willing and able to learn on the job, (or ask her exactly what she's looking for) but don't pretend anything.
