Nietzsche only had it half right. He who fights monsters must become one himself or be one to start with. Otherwise you're just gonna get your ass kicked ( Read more... )

It's that sort of fatalistic thinking that turnes good people into monsters. I'm tired of hearing so many people say that "there is no good and evil", or that the only way to defeat evil is to use evil. It's a narrowminded and cowardly way of thinking.
I'm sick of hearing people say that the world is such a dark place and "oh woe is me", when we in this country have so much, and live in such luxury.

There is light and good in this world, but you cant see it if you keep your eyes closed and cover your face with your hands.

You say life isn't fair, and that is true, but it gets real fair right after it ends.

Nietzsche also said God is dead.

And I say, because dammit I mean just as much as some dead philosophy asshole, he who forgets monsters becomes one.

As long as you don't forget that monsters live and that you need to fight them, you'll never really become one.

As usual, Kat has said what I was trying to say far more eloquently than I did. Thank you Kat :)
As an addendum, I do not, cannot, and most likely will not ever see you as a monster (unless you are bitten by a zombie, in which case, I'm sorry, but I'll have to put you down)
Seriously though, if you are worried about who or what you are becomming, talk to us about it. Thats what family is for.
