All of my American friends, please read this. This is one of the most well-researched, well-thought out, well-articulated articles on the current health care system I've EVER come across. It's long, but I HIGHLY recommend you read it and share it with as many people as possible ( Read more... )

Eee... yeah. That sounds like a really good system, but I'm hesitant about specific points; especially requiring all people to buy catastrophe insurance.
Definitely agree with the restructuring of HSAs.
LOVE the free checkup idea. Moreso if more education was included.

I also had the idea of an individual-based education program which could plug into (and compete with) the current insurance system, but I have no idea how I'd implement it.

"free" being distributed as taxes, but then, it works to the common good like roads, public schools, etc.
