Mother Dearest

I no longer have any respect for my mother. I know that's most likely a horrible thing to say, but it's the God's honest truth. I can't exactly pinpoint when she lost my respect, but I do know why she lost it. It's because she has turned into a thoroughly unlikable person. She is constantly nagging my Dad, gets upset when things don't go exactly

Would it be possible to find somewhere else to stay while you look for a job? At least you'd be out of the house that way.

No judgment about losing respect for parents. I've lost a lot for my dad over the past few years, and while I still love him, I can't say I respect him as much as I used to.

Sounds like she needs professional help...which is impossible to get until you admit that you need it, so it could be a while.

I've thought about going to my grandparents, since they have a spare room, but I don't want to drag them into the middle.

Yeah, same. I do love my Mom-it would take a lot for me to stop loving her-but I don't really like her anymore.

She was seeing a therapist for a bit, but I think it got too expensive.
