I am seeing the more and more and it is driving me up the wall

here is part of the tech notes:

Description of Problem:
619 error.
rebooted, problem persists
Deleted connectoid.
Cleared cache, cookies and history.
Ran netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt.
Ran ipconfig /flushdns
Ran netsh winsock reset.Restarted computer and reinstalled connectoid ( Read more... )

It is not offen that might rants get a rant in reply,

I know what you mean, If trianing would be perfect, our team would only need to be two people and a trained chimp

The real problem is that no one "new" to the tech industry has the background to really be any good at it. we've been doing this for 10 years. Some things just come to us as second nature. Many of the younger crowd never had to work with dial up, or even less browser troubleshooting when they didn't have to do it when browsers were less stable. This is true no matter where you are.

to illistrate this point I got a phone call this afternoon from a lady who we had created an onsite for, Her computer was giving a "No Boot device Found" error. She called the onsite tech who was at home sick, to ask if there was something she could do it get it done... he told her to have us reset her account password for windows.
