From karose:

If you make up titles for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories.

1. A long distance relationship begins over the internet. To familiarize each other with their lives, they jointly create one picture book, and each puts one picture of their life and an explanation on each page. Halfway through, however, the relationship begins to break down, and the first one to realize sends a note 'Please Send the Picturebook Back'. Instead of sending the picture book, however, he send himself2. Not an actual story: this uses screencaps of video game battles (The fighting ones, probably the ones with the pretty backgrounds, you know?) with text bubbles. In it, A confesses love for B, only for B to beat him/her brutally down because of B's love for C. C, however, sees this battle and calls B a number of cursewords, because C secretly loves D, who is a pacifist trying to remake him/her as a more peaceful person. B plummets into a depression and threatens to kill him/herself if C does not leave D and promise to marry B. C refuses, and A is the one who talks B down-- only to suicide him/herself the next night, with ( ... )

1. In a world where technology is so advanced you don't even have to walk outside, the rapid spread of a disease called 'ARTI' leaves machines able to wreak havoc on their owners. Within decades of the first outbreak, ARTI has become a plague, and human beings begin to shed their self-inflicted fetters and return to a simpler existence. However, there is an urban legend that if you manage to have a machine and treat it well, ARTI is not a disease but a blessing, though no one is quite sure what that blessing is. Enter a young man and his automated toaster.

2. Set in the same world as By Any Other Name, Interface tells the story of a young woman out to prove that the feared and dreaded ARTI is not more than the onset of a new era, one that should be recieved with grace. She creates a machine to help her understand human nature, and then infects it with ARTI-- but before she can learn the truth of her experiment, Right Wing AntiMachinists set fire to her lab, and she and the machine burn to ashes together ( ... )

An unsuccessful thief is jailed in Renaissance Italy, and just when he thinks his luck has run out, he meets a little old man with one hand in the cell next door. They strike up a crude sort of friendship (considering that the thief is to be hung in three days time) and the old man lets the thief in on a secret. He is a murderer, and they hung him-- but he didn't stay dead. But since they did hang him, he cut off his own hand, and over the weeks after, asked for herbs from the witchwoman. The result was his very own Hand of Glory, which he had been planning to use to escape. But years and years had passed before the signs were right for him to go free, and now he found that without his hand, he truly did not want to be free. And so, with a promise, the old man gave the thief the Hand. The thief, cradling the hand in both of his, is at first awe-struck by the man's will, and then ashamed. Instead of using it, he turns it over to the police, reflecting as he was hung that even if Glory was not his, at least he got to hold it for a time.
