I need to meet new people. My old group of friends, all but one is either not in Ames or is almost impossible to get together to do anything with. I'm horribly bad with this type of stuff, which would not surprise anyone who has met me. I'm people stupid

Do you dance? Ballroom Dance club is a decent social activity.

It's really pretty hard in Ames unless you can attach yourself to some sort of extended social network. I would suggest some of the people who interact in the general LJ community--deathweasel, deltafunction, fractuality, panther3751, and util are some I know who are still in Ames, although most of them are seniors and one is a grad student. I'm there, too, but I'm not much for company these days.

Are you interested in learning how to smoke a hookah? I have a group of gamers geeks who hang out at my place, some are x-students some aren't who just like to get together and have fun.. yes sometimes d&D or other rpg is involved, and other times wii, and still other drinking.
