Went to my parents last night for dinner. And also to finally clean out some of my old stuff from their attic. See, I have an attic of my own now to clutter, and they would like very much for me to sort through all the crap I've been keeping ( Read more... )

Legos: Kept
High school notes: nah.
Transformers: Kept
Soccer Uni: bye bye
Science Fair boards: saved for when your hypothetical future children are in science fairs of their own... NOT!
Textbooks: Depends on the class and quality of the book. (Even before I was back in school, I found myself referencing an old Calc textbook sometimes)

I suspect you kept all the toys, and don't know about the rest. Fairly certain you kept the 1st communion stuff, tho. It's blessed, after all, and you go hell or something if you dispose of it in a "disrespectful" manner. have to burn it, or bury it, or eat it, depending on the item.

So unless you were hungry or had a shovel handy, I'm guessing you kept the 1st communion stuff. ;-)

Dude, you really really need to do a value assessment of those Star Wars figures. My cousin is kinda back into them. You might have a veritable gold mine of toys on your hands there.

Just think of the new toys you could buy with all that money! ;)

A quick check shows about $5-$10 per figure. Thats for perfect condition, and some including the packaging. Now me, I played with my toys. They got dirt, and dings, and scratches all over them. When you are 10 and you blow up a stormtrooper, isn't it natural for you to throw em up in the air. :)

Though, if I'm going to go through a sell-off of 'things i don't need anymore' my magic cards are first on the block. ;)

I have a buddy who collects magic cards and he would love first dibs so let me know when you are ready to get rid of them. I will give you his email address.

I also still play regularly and would be very interested in acquiring your old collection.

(For that matter, if anyone else in the gang is interested in de-Magicking, I know a good home for wayward cards!)
