Don't blame me or my family. I have a gay uncle...I voted no. I blame the ridiculously evil commercials. Using kids to send your message? Kids who have no idea what they're talking about? And skewing it so that it seems like you'll have no choice what your kids are taught? Hello, we have to sign sheets to get sex ed, we can sign them to be taught about gay marriage. Frickin' morons.

To me, it's so strange that the Mormon church was the driving force behind that ballot issue. Me - when I think "traditional marriage" = 1 man + 1 woman - I don't think Mormon.

For me, though - I would rather no one received marriage from the state. I would rather it be civil unions for everyone. No separate but "equal" system. Same paper. Same rights. Same privs. That just kicks out the leg that religious folks are standing on. And I like kicking religious legs, especially when they show their bigoted ankles.
