I have applied to go back to school. Just to get my bookkeeping certificate, but still. I never thought I'd go back. I was an art major the first time around, tho when I was in high school getting my CPA was my fall back degree idea. So it's kinda full circle, here I am, in middle age, working as a bookkeeper

On the switched at birth thing, can you imagine if you found out The Boy wasn't yours? After you raised him for a year? Three? Ten? I wouldn't love the Nephew or Niece even an ounce less if I found out they weren't biologically related to me, but to think if there was a kid out there that IS and IDEK them. (actually that is true for me, have I ever told you the story of my older brother's illegimate kid calling here and being like 'Hey I'm your niece, I need help'?).

Anyways, I watch ABCFamily's Swiched At Birth and when it first came on I read a bunch of articles about different real life switched stories - it happens more than you think. I found you a few quick read lists of various real stories, so you can check those out. Wild stuff!

Thanks, I'm a little nervous about going back. Like 'where will I find the time? the money' but I know rationally I can do it.

It is a freaky question. I know I wouldn't love The Boy any less. I'd be more like well, The Boy is mine cos I raised him and this other child is mine cos of DNA so I need to keep them both. kaythanks.

I don't recall you telling me the story of your surprise niece, but it sounds like a doozy.
