More on the page/feed

This is probably very old news to most of you. I just know that my view of LJ got changed for me and I've just now had time to figure out why. Not only did it get changed, I couldn't change it back by just re-bookmarking the site to the place I wanted to go, the page itself forced the browser to go to the feed option no matter what I bookmarked

Ah! I didn't realize that was your problem. I'd fixed it long ago and had forgotten about the stupid feed issue. I can't test the method of getting back to the old Friends page because I won't go to the new Feed. Just in case I can't get back(!) But there was a hidden link you could click on. I'll point to two entries that talk about it.

Note that these were two years ago, and things might have changed since then - shudder!

They must have changed something two or three months ago because around then nothing looked right on my page. My friends page varied wildly; sometimes readable and sometimes changing style abruptly mid-view. All fixed now, but I had to change at least two or three settings AND alter the url pointer in LJ to do so. AArgh.

Ok, off to look at fixing the baseboard in the Manor.
