Such a weird psychological mess am I

Even though I completely know why this upsets and that I am blaming the wrong things....

I still can't hear the theme song to Sesame Street without a chill of terror. I also can't watch the 1970s PBS logo without being instantly terrified.

It kinda sounds like off-key british school children and that grates on my fucking nerves. The way they mispronounce words like they forgot Rs are a thing. KILL KILL KILL!

That's partly why the 'One, two, Freddy's coming for you' was do damn eerie to me as a child.

Hey, everybody's entitled to their hang ups. Yours is just a little more unusual than some.

Dunno. Maybe something bad happened when that song was on. A thunderstorm? A mouse ran out? Dunno.

Don't blame Kermie. Or Cookie Monster. He just likes cookies. :-)

No.

I figured it out when I watched the dr who Christmas special where David Tennant's who was introduced. I was watching, having a good time and then the ending music played, which is reminiscent of the 1970s Who which used to run right before sesame street and um...... I know intellectually tht this is all about Tom Baker's Dr who scaring the shit out of me, but its sesame street and the pbs letters that really do it. Big bird and the Daleks are confabulated in my mind.
